Preparing meals that satisfy the palette and connect people are my passions! I come from a long line of home cooks and a food loving family. The stories told around my family dinner table were often centered on food and cooking. I was born in New York City and my parents introduced me to world cuisines. I love to travel, and I always find a cooking class so I truly get to know what foods and preparation techniques make the people who they are. One of my most memorable classes, was in Italy. The pastas, the sauces! I moved to New Orleans to experience that magnificent food culture. Let me tell you, there is nothing better than red beans and rice as comfort food! Need a recommendation for the best beignets in NOLA? Just ask. Or better yet, let me make some for you!

I put my Culinary Arts degree to use at the Skyline Luxury Retirement Community. As part of the Skyline culinary team, I worked the main kitchen which focuses on gourmet cuisine, freshest ingredients, and creative meal preparation for residents’ custom diets. I was tapped to open a cafe serving sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, composed salads and designing the weekly rotating menu of dinner items for the residents.

I love to prepare meals for any diet or health need: gluten-free, egg-free, diabetes friendly, and meat-free. I particularly love cooking in the Creole, French, Italian, Pacific Northwest, and Chinese styles.
